Quase que parece que os Beach Boys adoptaram tons mais modernos e voltaram ao cenário musical.

Mas não.

The Non-Commissioned Officers (ou Non-Comms) é o nome desta banda americana que se formou em 2008 para participar na banda sonora de um filme de produção independente "MAKE-OUT with VIOLENCE".

Formou-se então mais como um meio de angariar dinheiro para completar o filme do que como um fim em si mesmo.

Assumem-se afirmadamente como uma banda pop e esta música ("Ahead of the Wave") vem ainda quentinha, lançada em Setembro de  2011 como um single.

Gorillaz feat. Snoop Dogg - Welcome to The World of The Plastic Beach

Gorillaz com Snoop Dogg, uma colaboração que decerto resultou numa mistura bem interessante.

Não gosto particularmente de Snoop Dogg por isso foi com um pouco de desinteresse que comecei  ouvir esta música. Mas ela foi-se de tal forma entranhando e construindo quase imperceptivelmente que me forçou a prestar atenção, sem que eu tenha dado conta desta transição.

"Welcome to the World of The Plastic Beach" pertence ao álbum "Plastic Beach" dos Gorillaz, lançado em 2010.

É bastante simples se formos a ver...mas quem diz que o que é simples não pode manter sempre algo de incompreensível?
